Accessibility statement

The Dirt Exchange LLC aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. We continuously improve keyboard access, contrast, labels, and assistive-technology support across Light, Dark, Light Retro, and Dark Retro themes.
Measures we take
- Skip link to main content and landmark structure
- Visible keyboard focus and labeled form controls
- Dialogs with focus trapping and Escape to close
- Respect for reduced-motion preferences
- Automated axe checks on public routes (`npm run test:a11y`)
Known limitation: map canvas
The Mapbox map view is primarily visual. Pins and clusters on the canvas are not fully keyboard-operable. The listings panel (desktop sidebar or mobile “View listings”) is the accessible equivalent: every listing can be browsed, focused, and opened with the keyboard.
